All tool processing happens entirely in your browser. We never receive, store, or transmit any data you enter into our tools. We don't use tracking cookies or sell data to third parties.
1. Data Processing
BestDev.Tools is designed as a privacy-first application. All tools on this site run entirely client-side, meaning:
ā¢ Your input data is processed locally in your browser using JavaScript
ā¢ No data you enter into any tool is transmitted to our servers
ā¢ No data is stored in databases, logs, or any persistent storage on our end
ā¢ Clearing your browser cache or closing the tab removes all tool state
This applies to all tools including JSON formatters, password generators, hash generators, Base64 encoders, QR code generators, and every other tool on the site.
2. Cookies and Local Storage
We use minimal browser storage only for user preferences:
ā¢ Theme preference (dark/light mode): Stored in localStorage so your theme choice persists across visits
ā¢ No tracking cookies: We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or any third-party analytics cookies
ā¢ No session data: We do not create user sessions or accounts
3. Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns (e.g., which tools are most popular). Any analytics we use:

ā¢ Do not use fingerprinting
ā¢ Do not share data with advertisers
ā¢ Collect only aggregate, anonymized data
4. Third-Party Services
Some tools make optional external API calls at your explicit request:
ā¢ IP Lookup tool: Makes a request to ipapi.co when you click "Lookup" - this sends your query IP to their service, which is subject to their privacy policy
ā¢ Open Graph Preview tool: May fetch external URLs when you request a preview
All such requests are initiated by you explicitly and are clearly indicated in the tool interface.
5. Children's Privacy
BestDev.Tools does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. The site contains no forms that collect personal information.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
